The Raiders finished 20-9-1 this season, which tied them in points with the Hitmen. But , one must realize that this team gets it done in a very different way than any of the other top teams. With FinesseHoops being the only player on the roster to eclipse the 50 point mark this season, it's clear that the Raiders really get the job done on the defensive end. Dwyy__ and Shenan1g0tes seemed to take the puck away from their opponents at every opportunity, finishing with 252 and 205 takeaways, which is good enough for 2nd and 8th in the league. BigBadRand and BigBadBilly welcomed the strong defence and turned in all-star numbers themselves. The two goalies finished up with a combined 2.17 GAA and a .838 sv%. Will the Raiders prove that defence is the best offence? Or can the Tallawahs find their scoring touch?
Mr. Playoffs and now owner, AtChicago, has been a part of 3 late season comebacks in which his teams clinched a playoff berth. Now he will get to do it with his own team. After making some rather critiqued trades throughout the season, the Tallawahs acquired their man, FC_Buck. FC_Buck really turned up the heat for this Tallawahs squad, putting up 46 points and a +29 rating in just 11 games. FC_Buck helped the team win a key 4 games in the last week of the season, which allowed the Tallawahs to complete the comeback and secure their playoff spot. AtChicago had another great season on the blue line, finishing with just 44 giveaways and 182 takeaways in his 18 games this season. VoidAxeI's stats this season were hurt by his team's early season poor play, but still managed a .808 sv%.
Can the Tallawahs' players play like they did for their respective teams last season, or did they use up all their energy just to get to the dance? The Raiders are definitely looking to shut this team down one last time.
