A defensive end with one of the highest IQs on the field, Charles Penn II is a threat to every offensive player on the field.

Penn II models his game after his favorite player, Tyrann Mathieu and pays homage to his idol by wearing 32. Similar to Mathieu, the young defensive player is not scared to hit or make a tackle in the secondary.

He knows all of the positions on the field inside and out, which only benefits him as he can anticipate what his opposition will do. Penn II’s favorite ways to train are by working on technique drills and by creating plays.

Penn II has played in numerous all-star games, state championships, a team all-around award and had the highest GPA. He served as a team captain as well, showing he is a leader as well as a quality teammate. Penn II understands how important school is for him, and how it sets him up for success on the field.

One of Penn II’s biggest motivators is his family. Specifically his brother, who has a disability. Since Penn II’s younger brother cannot play football for himself, he makes sure to play for him as well. For his future, he wants to be an engineer when he grows up and attend Michigan State University. He hopes to play in loud stadiums and make it to the NFL. A goal that is certainly attainable with his skill, work ethic and the heart he plays in.
