Where some get by merely on their natural talent, others excel by putting in hard hours of work and practice to hone their craft. Xander Cuellar is the kind of player who works hard, and gets results.
A multi-sport athlete, Cuellar plays basketball, baseball, and competes in track and field. First and foremost however, is his love for the game of football. At only 5 feet 4 inches and 140 pounds, Cuellar is undersized for a typical defensive end, but uses his breakneck speed off the ball and his polished technique to blow by offensive lineman and blocking backs alike. Although he may need to put on size to compete at the next level, Xander excels as a defensive lineman with his current repertoire of skills, having already captured multiple defensive awards when attending camps, and was awarded Defensive MVP in last year's championship game.
Xander has not attended any PSI events yet, but plans on attending his first this July, along with a number of other all-American showcases. He may have some growing to do, but with Xander's speed and elite skill set he certainly has the tools to make a name for himself at the next level.
