There are many questions that youth golfers and their families have when navigating their young playing careers. What’s the best way to teach my young golfer the skills of the game? Do we need a private coach? When is the best time to start competing in tournaments? How can my youth golfer get noticed by college coaches and recruiters?
Former All American and national champion Chandler Blanchet talks through his youth golf journey with Prospects by Sports Illustrated. His experience competing as a youth golfer led to his collegiate career where he earned All American honors three years in a row while claiming an individual national championship and Jack Nicholous of the year award.
Chandler currently competes on the Korn Ferry PGA Tour (Formerly Web.com tour) and is coming off two top ten finishes in the shortened 2020 season. Learn more about Prospects by Sports Illustrated’s tournament offerings this year.
