A fast paced player, Ben Pickell has the foundations to become a solid player at the next level. Pickell has a high ceiling that is quickly developing as his game progresses. Pickell's skills currently are superb, with a ferocious shot as well as strong athleticism. Pickell uses his fantastic athleticism to catapult himself past the opposition, able to make tough turns and cuts at a high speed. With his strong frame and remarkable skating skills, Pickell is incredibly hard to move off the puck, or force into a turnover. Pickell is no stranger to registering his name at the scorers table, Pickell's shooting ability is strong, able to blast hard shots through defenses and past goaltenders at will. Pickell's amazing scoring ability translates in all areas of the game, able to find scoring chances with a plethora of skills. With his high end skating skill and speed, Pickell is borderline unstoppable when inside the offensive zone, as well as dangerous in the transition game coming out of his own end. Pickell's high octane playstyle makes him a standout talent in the 05’ draft class, asserting himself as a top offensive player coming into the draft. While his size has room for improvement, Pickell plays bigger than his listed build. Pickell is a strong force on the offensive end and will be a great addition to any organization at the junior level.
