Multi-sport athlete, Brett Talbot, is a classic aggressive defenseman. Talbot not only was the top point-getter of all defense in the league last season, but he also was named to the National Championship baseball roster for Team Ontario in 2018. Brett is a natural defender that invites and accepts physical play. Talbot is more of a natural goal scorer and he also wants to be involved in the rush and score goals rather than play a very defensive-first game. Brett has a very strong shot and quick release, allowing him to be in control. With Talbot’s impressive offensive capabilities from the back end, playing with a defender that can support him would be significant in his development. Brett knows that in order to make it to the OHL he will need to improve on his skating. Given his athleticism and enthusiasm, it is evident that Talbot works incredibly hard to play at a high level in both sports and will continue to do so to get ahead in the game.
