One of the best pure playmakers in the upcoming OHL Draft, Cal Uens dazzles scouts with his spectacular passing abilities. Uens has a tremendous vision when on the ice, able to find his linemates with ease and has the skating ability to glide past defenders and position himself to make a game changing play. Uens may be a great playmaker but he is not afraid to get the job done himself. With silky smooth hands, Uens dices through defenses, making jaw dropping plays as a result. Uens shot is also incredibly strong, able to fire with high accuracy, picking the pockets of netminders across the ETA. Uens greatest strength is undoubtedly his passing skills but his defensive prowess is at a top-tier level among forwards in his class. Uens has great skill on the back check, able to use his speed to chase the puck and makes use of great stick skills to cause turnovers and push the puck in transition. Uens is primarily a center but plays a good amount of time as a defenseman. This showing of versatility is rare and is an amazing asset for Uens as he continues along his hockey career. Uens size is still not ideal, but Uens does not let this hinder his game. Uens plays fast and strong across the ice, never allowing his opposition to bully him off of the puck. With a fantastic two-way game Uens is poised to be a valuable prospect moving forward and will have a great chance to impact the game at the junior level.
