Any playmaker would want to have Christopher Grisolia on their line. A forward who is always available for a pass, Grisolia does a great job finding space for himself to receive pucks. Once the puck is on his stick, it doesn’t stay there very long. Grisolia has a tendency to shoot the puck and play the role of a finisher on his line. He plays a very high-tempo game right off the face-off and likes to generate offence as soon as he gets control of the puck. He uses his size and strength to his advantage at both ends of the ice. In the offence zone, Grisolia uses his long reach to poke pucks away from opposing players and can be a menacing force on the forecheck. In his own zone it is pretty much the same except he is even more aggressive. His play in the defensive zone consists of using his size to battle hard for the puck along the boards and out muscle players to get the puck loose and break up scoring chances. He can stand his own when faced with players bigger than him or even multiple players at once. When he is beaten, he does not stop doing whatever he can to poke pucks away.

As he continues to grow, I expect Grisolia to become even tougher to play against and for this will translate to higher levels as long as he keeps playing hard and staying aggressive in puck battles. He boasts a good shot with a quick release but does need to keep working on getting the puck off of his stick even faster for his playing style to be more effective in the OHL.
