Gifted with a fantastic mind for the game, Cole Brown is rising quickly in 2021 OHL Draft Boards. Exploding with upside, Cole Brown continues to show rapid improvement with his game every season. Brown's ability to become increasingly more valuable in all facets of the game has made him an intriguing prospect to watch. Brown is a great scorer, able to utilize his strong shooting ability, as well as his meticulous sense of where openings are, Brown uses this mixture of physical and mental strengths to his advantage when finding the best possible shot. Brown's incredible puck skills mixed with his methodical style of play allows him to dissect the defense and find a plethora of scoring chances, always staying one step ahead of the defense. While the opponent is playing checkers, Brown is most certainly playing chess, able to outsmart and outmaneuver his opponents when he is given space to operate. Brown's high IQ for the game gives him the ability to make plays at a fast pace, making plays in stride and within high pressure scenarios. Brown excels at making plays in tight situations, able to play his way out of unfavorable positions, quickly turning them into opportunities for his team on the other end. Brown is a tremendous facilitator both in ability to pass the puck as well as a great sense of when to move the puck, cutting down any unnecessary turnovers. Brown is only just beginning to scratch the surface of his true potential. With a mind built for the game, Brown's exceptional hockey IQ will continue to lead him to success within the hockey world. If Brown can continue his skill development at his current trajectory, Brown could be a one of a kind talent in the near future.
