Cooper Foster is an exceptional talent. Foster is one of the most talented players to come out of the Soo’s program in quite some time. Cooper is a strong two-way forward that is able to play a steady 200ft game. Cooper has a high hockey IQ and his awareness gives him the ability to make the players around him better. He uses his speed to  catch defenders off balance and can adjust the game; he can play at a fast pace but can also slow the game down if he needs to create time for his teammates. Though he doesn’t tower over players in his age group, Foster uses his abilities to his advantage. Cooper’s puck protection and skating skills allow him to be creative in his playmaking. While he is working to improve small things, like winning draws and getting better with his hands, like most of the 2005 players, he will need to gain strength. He always comes into each game with a positive attitude, he works hard and asks the right questions, he takes direction and listens to coaching staff. Foster craves to get better and he strives to play as an elite forward at the next level.
