Gabriel Perrault is the son of former NHLer Yanic Perreault and like his father, he is pretty good at hockey. Gabriel, whose older brother Jacob currently plays in the OHL with the Sarnia Sting, looks to follow in his brothers footsteps. He is currently playing in the U.S. in the HPHL with the Chicago Mission where he is an offensive machine. Wherever there is offence, you can expect to see #44 in the Mission’s bright green jersey at the center of it. Perreault possesses the confidence that comes with being the son of an NHL star and having no shortage of family members to learn from. He can finish scoring chances that others in his age group wouldn’t even attempt.
His shot is one of his biggest strengths. It is far above the level of his age group and is as deceptive as you could hope for. It takes minimal effort for him to roof the puck with full power and accuracy which goaltenders have trouble anticipating. His shooting success comes with his confidence. He knows that even at tough angles he can find the back of the net but also knows when he should pass the puck instead. His skating is another area of strength. He is a very fluid skater with speed, and control. If he decides to go down the OHL root like his brother, there is no reason why Gabriel Perrault will not be able to make the league and once he does, he could become a very dangerous player in the league.
