A textbook 200-foot player, Guillaume Labre is a tantalizing player to watch. Labre is a fantastic two-way prospect able to make his presence felt every shift. Labre has a high hockey IQ, able to move the puck efficiently and easily finds the best scoring opportunity on the ice. Labre is a quick learner, rapidly advancing and increasing his skill level game in and game out. Labre is a strong centreman, able to fight hard on face-offs as well as can push through contact when moving the puck in transition. Wherever or whoever Labre plays with, he instantly makes those around him better, able to draw attention from defences and set his linemates up for easy scoring chances. Labre is a strong goal scorer himself, able to make spectacular plays and beat goaltenders on a nightly basis. On the defensive side of the puck Labre is one of the best forward prospects in this regard. Labre kills penalties with the best of them, able to use his strong skating skills to push the pace and place an aggressive pressure on the puck handler on the forecheck. Exceptional on the penalty kill, Labre is able to cause turnovers and frustrate special team units to no end. Labre is comfortable and able to play any role asked of him, and play it well. Labre plays well above his current level, and is ready to not only move on to the next level, but excel there.
