Luke Misa is a classic offensive player with elite puck skills and excellent skating. His skill and speed attracts a lot of attention. Offensively, he has a great skill-set, however the foundation of his game is built on speed. Luke is a high-end player who can easily pick-up speed using his rapid acceleration and great edges.  He is able to use his edges to swiftly start, stop, and keep up with play without any sign of struggle. Misa’s acceleration is above average in comparison to his 2005 peers and once he gets going, very few players are able to catch up to him. His speed and acceleration allows him to create space for himself and his smooth and fast skating brings people out of their seats. Although he is an undersized player at this time, Misa will need to work on playing the defensive side of the puck to make up for his lack of size. He is quickly learning how to act as a better defensive center and is working hard to improve his defensive abilities. This will ensure he is able to play consistently and become more dynamic while working both sides of the ice, ensuring a smooth transition into major junior. There is no doubt Misa will be taken in the top rounds of this year’s OHL Priority Selection draft.
