Mitchell Young has the size and skill to be a high-end defender on both ends of the ice. His exceptional shot from the o line is intimidating for his competitors. Mitchell enjoys using his high foot speed to carry the puck up the ice and finish with his strong shot. Though Young will need to improve on his defensive zone play and reads in the neutral zone, he is able to produce offense at a high rate for his team. Hopefully Young will be able to use his foot speed to his advantage to keep up with offensive threats and provide more coverage in the defensive zone, helping for a smooth transition to the next level.
