A high end player to watch in the American leagues, right shooting Anthony Nolan was ranked number 20 of 140 in the 2021 USHL Combine in Green Bay, and ranked number 1 in weave agility with the puck. Nolan was the team leader in terms of weight room strength, and his on ice speed makes him an electric player to watch. Nolan has a quick first step, which helps him create space almost instantaneously. Nolan is also a player who will not shy away from the hairier areas of the game, and has no issues going into the corners to retrieve the puck, or go to the tougher spots on the ice to make a play. Nolan is a serious checking threat, due to his speed and great scoring ability, which helped him become one of the team leaders in both assist and goals in 2020/21. Nolan is capable of making beautiful passes, whether it’s through the skates, a crisp stick to stick pass, or even a nice feather pass over a stick. Nolan will challenge a team offensively, applying intense pressure and making sure to block off passing lanes with good stick work, and then utilizing the pressure to force a mistake in his favour, to which he can make a run for a scoring opportunity or breakout play. Nolan is able to play a very high IQ game with high vision, and is a great supporting player and natural leader for any line he is played on
