Similar to someone like Matthew Tkachuk, left shooting Brady Trout is truly a force to be reckoned with. He is a big, strong player that suits the mold of a prototypical power forward. He is known to drive wide and crash the net hard, and is constantly looking for shooting opportunities. Trout has a great shot and is an extremely strong battler. Trout is a very hard nosed player with an extremely high compete and fight level, and due in part to his aggressive playstyle, is prone to taking penalties. This is one of the things he needs to work on, specifically his timing. Trout needs to be able to know when the right and wrong times are to go really hard, and when to ease up a bit so to not take a penalty, as well as noticing who else is on the ice with him at any given time. Trout is a very loud, vocal leader in the dressing room, and will not hesitate to call someone on what they have done wrong, and is also a player that can get in the faces of his teammates and get them hyped up before a game. Both are great qualities to have as a leader, as being able to recognize what could be done better and being able to hype up your teammates could be great. Overall, Trout could be a pretty solid 2022 OHL draft selection, where he could develop into a big, hard hitting winger.
