A hard working clear cut power forward who can do it all offensively, Caden Kelly is a strong RW with a bright future. Caden who plays for the Mississauga Senators, a top team in Ontario, has elite level skills and a physical edge. Caden gets deep into the zone and battles for pucks often winning 50/50 battles, and sending the puck out to an open teammate in the slot. Caden finishes his checks hard and is a hard player to play against as he grinds down opponents. His playmaking skills are great and he cycles the puck from the half walls well. Caden Kelly is a shooter however with a hard, accurate shot. Caden uses his big frame to generate a lot of power on his shot and can rip it into the net before the goalie gets set. Caden has a high offensive IQ and is actively working on getting better without the puck and generating room for his teammates. Like most power forwards Caden's skating won’t blow you away but it isn’t a liability. Caden is used on his teams powerplay and penalty kill as a reliable member on each and in his own zone is known to be very reliable. He’s positionally sound as a winger and forces the play to the outside. Kelly is known to be a ball of energy and very hard worker throughout his league and as he continues to develop and grow, Caden has the potential to be a game changing power forward at the next level.
