Calder Winegard is quickly turning into the top tier player he’s capable of becoming. Calder, who’s 2005 age brother is 6’6 is growing quickly and learning from his brother as to how to become an elite player. Putting on muscle and a killer work ethic combined with his raw natural skill Calder is looking to become the next big player out of Lambton. Calder can do everything offensively, he handles the puck well and appears to have the puck on a string at times, makes gorgeous passes to teammates and has an OHL caliber shot. His ever growing stature makes him an excellent forechecker and he can be found battling hard in the corners to dig the puck out and feed it to teammates in the slot. Calder has committed to working on his strength and conditioning with former NHLer and current Sarnia Sting assistant coach Brad Staubitz and understands that off ice training is just as important as on ice training. As Calder continues to grow both physically and as a player, he has the natural skill and work ethic to be an elite player at the next level.
