Of all the 2021 OHL Draft eligible players to watch, Carson Rehkopf is by far one of the most entertaining. A pure sniper with advanced skills, Rehkopf could very well be a top-10 pick at the 2021 OHL Priority Selection Draft. His blend of size is a commodity that all teams highly covet and makes him an offensive threat every time he steps foot on the ice and. One of the best-goal scorers in the draft class, Rehkov possesses an elite wrist shot with pin-point accuracy.

While he can seemingly score at will with his wrist shot, there is no stopping him when he decides to make a move. Rehkopf plays with noticeable confidence and attempts to pull off ankle-breaking dangles and can do so at top speed with a high degree of effectiveness. He uses his long stick and reach to beat goaltenders similar to what we have seen in former 1st overall OHL draft pick, Quinton Byfield. He has the size and strength needed to stay on and keep control of the puck as well as stealing it in the offensive zone and is not easily pushed around. Defenders have a hard time reading Rehkopf who is deceitful with his quick skating abilities and hands. Even the best defenders have trouble determining if he is about to shoot the puck or make a move to get around them.

Carson Rehkopf won the Alex Pietrangelo award which is given yearly to the best player with the JRC. While he has emerged as one of the top 2005 born goal scorers, Rehkopf still has some room to grow. Using his size and speed to become a more complete 200-foot player would definitely help him make it to the OHL. While he is an expert finisher, he could further develop his playmaking. He makes accurate tape-to tape passes but would benefit from displaying more of this in the offensive zone to create plays. He has the skills to do so and he has shown that he is more than capable of filling the gaps within his game.
