The Prospects by Sports Illustrated Internship Program

Now accepting applications for roles in Sports Media, Sports Marketing, Event Management and Journalism.

A dog on bone style player who’s been compared to Zach Hyman for his tenacity and grit Devonte Choptiany is a player you want on your team. Devonte has arguably the best shot in his age group, it’s heavy, hard and accurate and gets behind the goalie more often than not. Devonte has a wonderful snapshot that uses a deceptive release combined with raw strength to sneak in behind the goalie with ease. Devonte uses his raw strength without the puck as well. Getting to the dirty areas in both ends of the ice to win puck battles and maintain possession of the puck. Devonte in his own end is positionally responsible as well. As a winger he will cover for his defenders if needed as well as guard the backdoor options. Devonte is working on receiving the puck in tight and shooting in close range but when he adds this to his game he will only excel further. As Devonte continues to develop the skys the limit for this dedicated athlete.
