Numberwise, Glen McInnes is the top goalie in the ETA. McInnes plays exactly as most goalies his size would play, as more of a blocker. Despite this, McInnes is very well coached, and thus has a good handle on his size, and understands not to over rely on it. Despite his size, McInnes is a very athletic goalie, and is capable of making the big saves. Positionally, McInnes is very sound, and is capable of framing off the net and using his size to take up the net. McInnes, like many of the players available, has improved greatly since his last active season, taking the pandemic year to improve further for the following year. McInnes is likely to add a few more inches as well, so he could end up around the 6’5 to 6’6 range, which would put him amongst the bigger end of OHL goalies. With the 2022 OHL draft coming up, McInnes will definitely get some notoriety for his frame, which will be the big alluring factor for a team. However, his skill is undisputed, so teams should focus on the fact that he is very skilled as well, which could see him going higher amongst the goalies in the draft.  Regardless of where he goes, McInnes could serve as an amazing addition between the pipes for years to come at the OHL level.
