an Gedney is a notable blue-liner with a defense-first oriented mindset that sees him always have an impact in the game. Gedney isn’t the type of defenceman who needs to wrack up points to get noticed by coaches and scouts. His defensive game is something that coaches appreciate having on their team. Gedney is always working on getting bigger and stronger which is an important aspect of his game. He is active along the boards playing a physical defensive game consisting of engaging in tough board battles to get the puck away from opponents. The former Toronto Titans defenceman knows how to properly and effectively use the body to lay out big clean hits to shift momentum in the game. He also positions himself very well in his own zone and can get under attackers skin by covering them like glue, limiting them from creating a scoring chance.
