One of the best goalies in alliance hockey Jack Martin always gives his team a chance to win. Jack has a big frame, above average positioning and is technically sound which all combine to make saves unlike most kids his age. He reads developing plays in front of him very well which allows him to position himself and angle off opponents. With traffic in front Jack is quick to react to changing directions and control his rebounds. He possesses the ability to get across his crease quickly and is flexible stretching out to make unbelievable saves. His positioning and reflexes allows him to recover when he does cough up a poor rebound on the rare occasion. When facing a breaking out forward he will come out and challenge the player to beat him and won’t sit back and wait for the shot. Jack can handle the puck well unlike most young goalies and can come out of his crease to speed up a breakout. Jack is an incredibly hard worker and is striving to get better at communicating with his defenders. As he continues to work hard and gains more experience he’s only getting better and should be a goalie every team keeps close tabs on heading into his draft year. Jack has been working hard for over 4 years now with Colin Roeszler, a private trainer, which has benefited him on the ice and pushed him to become one of the hardest workers in his draft. Jack Martin is a name to watch for as he oozes with raw potential.
