The Prospects by Sports Illustrated Internship Program

Now accepting applications for roles in Sports Media, Sports Marketing, Event Management and Journalism.

Jake MacRae is a smooth skating two-way defenseman with good stick work and a great outlet pass. MacRae is a smart heads-up player that makes elite offensive and defensive reads allowing him to make sharp plays. He is a very fluid skater with smooth transitions and a powerful stride. Jake makes exceptional reads, allowing him to be in position to hold gaps, force dumps, and block out the opposition from entering the zone cleanly. He is working hard to get stronger so he has a swift transition to the next level. This is Jake’s first year in Guelph’s program and he had an immediate impact on the team. As he continues in his development, MacRae could turn out to be an impressive player in the OHL.
