Kristian Lamanna is a fascinating prospect ahead of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection Draft. Lamanna is a center and plays for the Don Mills Flyers where he is one of the team's top players. What makes Lamanna such an interesting player to watch is his deceptive skillset. For starters, at times his skating style could be described as awkward and choppy and looks a bit slow but in the blink of an eye he can use his long stride to break through the defence for a breakaway opportunity. At other times he seems to have trouble getting control of the puck right away but he also has a great set of hands that can make goaltenders pay. The Flyers center also possesses a rocket of a shot that gets off of his blade like a laser. Lamanna is a support player who doesn’t have to make an impact in the game with highlight reel plays. A lot of his best play comes from being the supporting cast for his linemates by being ready to capitalize on the chance that they created.
