The definition of a scraper, Lucas Legault is a hard nosed player that exudes determination and toughness with his physical style of play. Legault's strengths lay within his mental fortitude to finish checks and play hard for the entirety of his shifts. With a definite mean side, this gritty young winger can cause problems for opposing teams top players as they will have their hands full trying to get the unrelenting Legault off their back. Legault is not only a physical player, he also has a solid ability to get his shot on net. By wearing down other teams, Legault capitalizes by using his high motor to outwork his opposition and generate scoring opportunities off of turnovers.  Aside from his shooting ability, Legault does need to improve in a vast amount of areas before moving to the next level. His offensive abilities are incredibly limited and his build is not going to cut it moving forward in his hockey career. While Legault is not a highly skilled player, his effort and determination could lead him to success in the future. Legault may be a bit of a project, but he certainly has potential. If Legault can continue to improve on his stick skills, as well as continue to develop physically, his stock will steadily increase as his game matures.
