Amongst some of the smaller players in the draft, Luciano Bruno could best compare to his favorite player, Artemi Panarin, in terms of style. This starts with his smaller stature, standing at only 5’5, but it really comes down to the way he plays. Bruno is an extremely dynamic forward offensively and is capable of creating chances with his high end playmaking ability. While being an amazing playmaker, Bruno is more than capable of sniping a beautiful goal from time to time. Despite his amazing skill set, Bruno will likely slip in the draft due to his size, a common trend in the hockey world, and a lesson that seems to never be learned every year. Providing Bruno grows taller, his stock could go up much higher, though if he doesn’t grow his year, he could become a possible steal in the draft if he grows post draft. With the OHL draft in 2022 looming ever so close, Bruno could likely see himself going in the mid to later rounds, again, mainly due to his height and weight. However, if he grows, he could slot in as a great offensive forward for any OHL club, where he could even possibly see himself producing on the power play. It’s likely that Bruno could be more of a project player because of his small stature, however thanks to his skillset, he could surprise everyone and become a reliable piece as he doesn’t really play a physical game to begin with. Whatever the case, Luciano Bruno will be a player to keep your eye on as the year continues.
