Marko who is one of the most athletic goalies in his age group has tons of trust from his teammates and coaching staff. He’s proven to come up big in pressure situations and have a calming presence for his team. When he’s in net his team knows what they’re getting and they know they’re given a chance to win. Marko has good rebound control and a big frame that allows him to recover with the odd poor rebound. Marko is strong all over and doesn’t get beat in any one particular area. He reads and follows plays well and is positionally sound which allows him to make game changing saves. Marko has the ability to battle through screens and make shots even with traffic in front of him and quickly do his best to save deflections. He gets across his net very quick and can save cross crease passes. He is actively working on his puck playing ability and like many young goalies will only get better with experience. As he continues to grow as a player Marko Bilic has the potential to be a reliable starting goalie at the next level.
