A well known and elite playmaker in the 2006 age group, Riley Misa is a name you have to watch for. Riley sees the ice very well both with and without the puck, with the puck he see’s lanes and plays that most don’t. He has great agility and hands to get around opposing defenders and evades contact with ease. His passing skills are off the charts putting the puck exactly where his teammates will be and his shooting ability is no weakness either. He has the ability to put the puck behind the goalie without a lot of space. Without the puck he sees the ice well and finds soft spots in opponents defensive structures in order to be in the best place to create high danger scoring chances. In his own zone without the puck he reads plays well and uses his high hockey IQ to become a breakout threat. Riley is a very quick skater which really benefits his play. His edgework and acceleration makes him stand out game by game and makes him a threat at all times. Riley has modeled his game after a Sidney Crosby and Patrick Kane mix and it has benefited him immensely as he plays a very complete 200 foot game while also being a scoring threat in the offensive zone. Riley is always working on his game and should easily transition into a top talent at the next level.
