One of the two O’Toole twins, right shooting defenseman, Tyler O’Toole is feared for his style of play. O’Toole, like his brother, plays roller hockey, ball hockey and lacrosse, where he is absolutely feared. Of the two twins, Tyler is the tougher, and is known for delivering crushing hits and punishing the opposition. He has a very hard shot, and is great at making the first pass. O’Toole is not known to join the rush, and is more of a stay at home defenseman. Currently, he is working hard to improve his gap control. O’Toole is a more outspoken player, who is more extroverted and vocal. He trains hard, always looking to improve as he chases his goal to be an OHL draft pick. O’Toole understands that it will take a lot of hard work to make it, and he is more than prepared to do it. Over the years, O’Toole has been constantly upping his value, as every year he improves more and more, and is on a path to cement himself as a top defenseman in the draft. He is described as a very top to bottom player. OHL wise, O’Toole would most likely remain a big, shutdown defenseman, who can bully his opponents at the blue line, perhaps a similar style to Zach Bogosian. While the 2022 OHL draft is still a year and a half out, O’Toole is looking to be a very promising prospect, and could be an even better pick if the team is able to land both of the twins, creating for a deadly duo.
