He may be technically unorthodox, but Tyson Wilcox has a knack for stopping the puck by any means necessary. Wilcox has a tenacity on the ice that is incredibly rare for a netminder, able to stay fierce and alert from the initial puck drop to the final whistle. Wilcox embraces the big moments, able to steal games for his club regularly. While Wilcox may have a unique style, his fast pace and wild moving style can sometimes cause him to be caught out of position. In the future Wilcox will need to put extra work into his fundamentals in order to become a more consistent player. Wilcox has fantastic upside regardless of his technique. Tyson Wilcox certainly has high potential but will need to find his footing within the crease and become a more consistent player before entering the next level. If Wilcox can accomplish this he could become a serviceable goaltender for any future organization.
