Toronto Jr. Canadiens
If there's one player who you don’t want to have the puck in the slot, it's Anthony Romani. Romani is a versatile offensive presence who will make you pay if given a chance in the slot as the puck gets off of his stick quickly whether he’s passing the puck or shooting it. One of the Jr. Canadiens, best centres attributes is his shot. His release is as quick as they come and if he finds even the smallest opening near the net, he’s going to cash in on it. Romani's offensive positioning helps him convert on scoring opportunities as well as create them. His quick release is not just for his shot as a playmaker, Romani can make strong accurate passes that hit the tape of his teammates.
Speed is always critical and Anthony Romani has got it as the centreman is a fast player who can always keep up with his teammates on the rush. He likes to cut into the slot before getting a shot off and uses his speed and skill to help him get around defenders. Romani has a lot of the tools necessary to advance it to the next level but like many young players, scouts may be concerned about his size. Romani needs to add some more muscle to make sure he can hold his own in contested areas at the next level; if he can manage to add some muscle there is no reason why he will not be able to find success at the next level and make it to the OHL.
