Brayden DeGelas is an offensive threat to competition. DeGelas is a very extreme player that demonstrated his immense skill last season tallying an impressive 67 points (26 goals and 41 assists) in his 43 games and making the All-Star team. Brayden is a very smooth skater with prodigious vision and a strong hockey IQ, allowing him to predict and react appropriately to plays as they develop. Brayden is committed to the game and constantly is working to increase his skill. DeGelas is learning to take advantage of his larger frame and be a more physical player when necessary. Unquestionably, Brayden can use his body in an effective way offensively, but for defensive play, he can also use his frame to become better in his own end. If Brayden is able to use his body more effectively, he can start producing at a greater rate than he already is. Brayden’s new found physicality may be needed for him to succeed at the OHL level. It is clear that DeGelas is an intimidating forward and has the potential to become an impactful player at the next stage as he continues to exhibit his talent.
