Bronson Ride is a very coordinated two-way defenseman. Standing tall at 6’5”, Ride is surprisingly athletic. Ride is a superior skater that has an easy ability to create space in both offensive and tight traffic situations allowing him to carry the puck up the ice. Most kids of this size struggle with athleticism and skating, but Ride can move quickly allowing him to keep up with players in 1 on 1 battles and really take advantage of his long reach. Bronson is an elite athlete that uses his stick length and size to excel in the defensive zone. As he grows into his stature, his shot will naturally become stronger. With his high level of coordination, you would hope to see his puck skills translate, but they are not quite there yet. Bronson is currently improving his offensive tactics like stick handling and puck skills so that he can be smoother with the puck. Ride is a true defender that can shut down nearly anyone and if he is able to improve his offensive pressure, he will likely become an impactful defender at the next level immediately.
