Chicago Mission
OHL teams are certainly not crossing their fingers with this player but they are certainly going to shoot their shot. Carter Slaggert is likely not going to play in Ontario but if he did then he would be a lock for the 1st round. Slaggert could potentially be selected to play for the USNTDP which goes to show just how skilled of a player he is. Slaggert is consistently not just one of the top players with the Chicago Mission but one of the HPHL’s best players.
Carter Slaggert possesses separational speed which results in plenty of 1v1 scoring chances against frightened goalies. When it comes down to Slaggert vs a goaltender, betting on Slaggert is more than just a safe bet, it's a smart one. His quick hands are above average and can break a goalkeeper's ankles at will. Despite being the embodiment of the phrase “stickhandling in a phone-booth”, Carter Slaggert doesn’t need to pull off any flashy moves to score. His shot alone is more than enough to best any goalie due to his lightning quick release and accuracy. In addition to his goal-scoring abilities, Slaggert is a high-end playmaker as well. He finished with the highest assist marker in the HPHL during the 2019-2020 HPHL season with 12.
