An absolutely high octane forward, Hudsyn Chaput displays some elite characteristics for the age level. Chaput has amazing skating and straight line speed, making him a lethal threat on the break away. Couple this with his high end vision and passing and he is suddenly someone who can make a pass on a whim for a set up. Chaput also possesses very smooth hands and a very powerful shot, making him a natural scoring threat as well. Despite his offensive prowess, Chaput plays a complete 200 foot game. All of his skills have best helped him compare to players like Auston Matthews and Nathan MacKinnon. Chaput is a very compassionate person, which helps him to be a natural leader both on and off the ice, and is always willing to help. Chaput always puts great care and effort into anything he does, and is extremely coachable. Chaput has quite the mileage on as well, as along with his twin brother Maddyx, he has participated in the Quebec Peewee International Tournament, participated in overseas play in Sweden and Finland, is a natural multisport athlete, and is going into his 5th year with the Lakers, having won 3 Alliance championships and most recently the OHF finals. See Chaput next at ScotiaBank Ponds, where he was selected to join Team Canada Red at the PSI All-Star tournament this July, where he will try to play a part in bringing the team a finals win.
