A fast and shifty right wing who models his game after professional players like Brad Marchand and Cole Caufield, Jacob Therrien uses his skills to set himself and his teammates up for success on the ice.
Those two players are athletes Therrien looks up to as Marchand makes an impact every time he steps on the ice, and Caufield has quick hands and a fast release on his shot. Therrien, who has been playing hockey for the past ten years, plays at the highest level of AAA and practices four-to-six times a week both on the ice and off when in season. A work ethic that proves he is driven to constantly improve and continuously take his game to the next level.
His hockey IQ is high, as he is able to read his opponents well in order to figure out the best course of action when the puck is on his stick. These skills helped him to put up 50 goals in one season. He is physical and not scared to lay a hit or two when necessary.
Therrien also has many accomplishments, both on the ice and off the ice. He has made the honor roll consistently for the last three years while maintaining an over 90 grade point average and was named his school's athlete of the year. On the ice, his team won the Ontario Minor Hockey Association championship at the novice level.
Therrien also plays lacrosse at a high level with Evolve Lacrosse Club, showing that he is a highly talented athlete who understands the intricacies of two very highly skilled sports.
He is driven to success because of his hopes to play professional hockey one day and to reach his full potential. He is a leader on the ice, he is tenacious and he is determined.
