Amongst the top forwards available at the 2022 OHL draft, Marlboros C/W Leo Serlin was one of the players invited to the GTHL Top Prospect game. During a 5 game span at the OHL cup, Serlin was able to post a 5 point outing, 2 of which were goals. Serlin was also able to put up a 22 goal pace in the regular season, finishing with 48 points in 46 games. Since the end of the OHL cup, Serlin has joined the Haliburton County Huskies of the OJHL, where he has appeared in 1 game. Serlin describes his game as being like that of Sidney Crosby. This comparison comes from Serlin’s ability to play a very fast game, where he can use his smarts to make incredible plays that can result in either his own goals, or goals for his teammates. Serlin is also a player who is known for his hard work, where he can be one of the hardest workers on the ice at all times in the game. Between Serlin’s amazing impact offensively, and his constant drive, he will be one of the most highly touted prospects in the first couple rounds of the draft, and will most likely be coming off the board within the first couple rounds of the draft. At the OHL level, Serlin could become a speedy top 6 winger, who can burn defensemen along the flanks before setting up scoring chances for those around him.
