Standing at an imposing 6’4, Luca DiFelice compares himself to Andrei Vasilevskiy due to his consistency and ability to move well in the crease. On top of this, DiFelice has a really good glove hand, and is very good at getting squared up to the puck and has a good save selection. DiFelice stands out from other goalies due to his never give up attitude, being a very competitive goalie who never gives up on the play until the whistle is blown. To better round out his game, DiFelice is planning to work on his puck playing ability during the summer, which will allow him to support his defense more by turning defense into offense. DiFelice is considered as a leader both on and off the ice, and is constantly trying to make sure his teammates are pumped up and ready to go at all times. Since he was little, DiFelice has dreamed of being a 16 year old goalie in the OHL, and while he understands that the idea is a monumental task, he is more than prepared to try and make his mark with the team that selects him at the 2022 OHL draft. Expect to see DiFelice going in the top end to middle of the pack in regards to goalies, where he will use his drive to try and push for a spot on his team right away, though due to him being a goalie, he could also benefit from another year or two of development. Regardless, taking out a flier on DiFelice will be well worth the pick.
