One of the top players coming out of Northern Ontario, Nate Gravelle has most recently been seen on the NOJHLs Powassan VooDoos roster. Gravelle is fresh off of a solid point per game season with North Bay, putting up 8 goals and 14 assists during the regular season, and also posted a 4 point outing in the OHL cup tournament. Gravelle stands out thanks to his playmaking ability, which is aided by his ability to see the ice well and determine where all his teammates are. Gravelle gives it 110% every shift, anc can constantly be seen using his speed during a forecheck or backcheck. Gravelle’s play is what has led him to find a comparable in Ilya Mikheyev, who is also known for being a very well rounded player, with a solid IQ and complete 200 foot game. Gravelle is a very caring and respectful player, and is always eager to make new friends. Gravelle tries to be a leader, and is always encouraging his teammates to be their best, while also trying to be a great role model for the younger kids in the area. Gravelle is excited at the prospect of playing in the OHL, and is feeling ready to make the jump to the next level after the 2022 draft. Gravelle is actively working on bulking up and improving on his physical game, as he understands that the OHL game is both bigger and stronger, and he is ready to put the work in to get there. At the OHL level, expect to see Gravelle step in as a reliable two-way winger, who can put up decent point totals, while also being reliable at all ends of the ice.
