Lamont is incredibly fast, able to play effectively at high speed paces that others simply cannot keep up with. On top of his scoring ability, Lamont is a solid playmaker as well. Lamont has a high hockey IQ, able to read the ice well and make smart and effective plays as a result. Lamont is a phenomenal player on the offensive end but is also a gifted player on the defensive end. Lamont has a high motor, able to continue to push himself while on the ice towards making winning plays on the ice, as well as working to improve his skills off the ice. Lamont is a credible two-way forward, an efficient and strong force in any zone of the ice. Lamont's relentless attack on the puck allows him to cause turnovers at a high rate and turn them into scoring chances on the other end, or prevent scoring chances from ever coming to fruition within his own zone. Lamont has no problem mixing it up, using his never ending engine to push him to the next level while fighting for loose pucks whether it is in open space or along the boards. Lamont is strong at fighting for position in front of the net, able to use his size and strength to jockey for position and generate change of direction tips towards the net. Lamont has massive upside and could be one of the top players to come out of the 05’ draft class when it is all said and done.
