Andrew Gibson is one of the top defensemen in the Alliance league. Gibson is a big, strong player that moves with agility and intense speed. His open ice and transition skating skill is elite, which is impressive given his height and age. Andrew pushes himself on and off the ice and is constantly in the gym working hard to get stronger. He is a strong 200ft defender that takes advantage of his cannon of a shot, leading the league in defensive scoring last season. Andrew is continuing to improve all aspects of his game, most importantly he wants to work on keeping his feet moving in the defensive zone. As a defenseman with a strong foundation and large frame, if Andrew is able to continue his habits and develop his game further, he can become a real threat in the OHL.
