Defenseman Andrew Hill once played forward, but has since transitioned to being a full time defender. This has helped him develop his playstyle as a smooth skating defenseman who sees the ice well. He can shoot well, is a good passer and is above average defensively. The biggest issue with Hill at the moment is his confidence. Hill has a lack of self confidence sometimes, and thus is subject to beating himself up over mistakes. This however, is being worked on. If Hill can get his confidence issues sorted out, he could end up stepping in as a very decent two way defender that can jump into the rush occasionally. While it is too soon to truly tell when Hill will be drafted, he could serve as a nice pickup for a team in a mid to late round, where he could be just an average player or could even continue on to become a higher end defenseman, if his skills continue to improve. Only time will tell.
