Arguably a top 3 goalie in the 2022 OHL draft, Ben Hrebik couples size and athleticism perfectly. While Hrebik was always a highly sought after goalie, with numerous GTHL teams lining up to recruit him, Hrebik has recently seen an influx of OHL teams reaching out to him as well. This has really fueled the fire Hrebik has when it comes to going to the next level, and it shows how good he is. Hrebik utilized his massive frame to cover most of the net, but he also understands not to be too comfortable with his size alone. Due to this, Hrebik is elite in his movements, being able to get across laterally very quickly, while having an amazing up-down game as well. Hrebik has an exceptional athletic game, and is a complete, multi-sport athlete. Hrebik has great feet and a great play reading ability, which goes hand and hand with his positioning. Hrebik is also ahead of the game due to his good puck handling and regular workouts off the ice. Hrebik is an ultra competitive player, who is known as a more quiet guy in the room, yet he has a great personality and always shows up with a smile, making him extremely popular in the room. Expect to see Hrebik going high amongst the goaltenders, where he could very possibly challenge for an OHL spot immediately.
