Despite being of a smaller stature, right shooting forward, Brecken Smith, has been described as a coaches player. He is one of the few players out there that can play and excel in any situation, where he is capable of playing on the power play, penalty kill and obviously 5 on 5. Smith is also very strong in his own end, and has the ability to make plays and score goals. This helps make him a very strong two way forward, who can be relied upon whenever he needs to be. Smith is also very versatile, and is capable of playing on any of the forward positions, whether it’s center or on either wing, he is strong on both his strong and weak wings. Smith has also been described as a great teammate. While it is unknown where Smith could go in the 2022 OHL draft, one could reasonably assume that he will go somewhere in the mid rounds of the draft, where eventually there will be a point where a team just won’t be able to pass him up. Regardless, Smith could mold into a very reliable young player for any club, and could be deployed in a similar way that he is now. Only time will tell
