Though he is a smaller player, left shooting winger, Brud Delaney, is very smart and very quick. Like many smaller end players, Delaney relies a lot on his speed to help him, as well as some good IQ. Delaney is a player who reads the game very well, and has been known to have great positioning, in a sense that he is always in a spot where he can avoid getting hit, while also playing down low. He is a player that is seemingly always on the ice and making good plays, something a team would love in any player. For Delaney, puck protection would be a good thing to work on as he progresses, as it would be very helpful for him in the offensive zone when he is carrying the puck. He is a very smart kid with a great sense of humour, however he is very serious and focused come game time, and always seems to be a step ahead of everyone else. With the 2022 OHL draft approaching in a little over a year, Delaney will have to put on a show to get as much interest as he can, with his smaller stature being a bit of a hindrance for his draft stock. Regardless, Delaney has a good skill set that could help him in the OHL if he chooses to sign, and he could be a solid acquisition in the draft.
