Drafted 56th overall by the Pembroke Lumberkings in the 2021 CCHL Bantam Protected Draft, left shooting Cole Foley is a natural goal scorer. In 2019/20, Foley led the AA level in the HEO in both assists and goals, and then eventually saw himself joining CIHA. Foley already has the shot of a man at the age of 15, and utilized his big frame well. Foley is both big and strong, and plays with an edge and plays hard. Foley also is quite agile and fast, while also sporting a very good stickhandling ability with fast hands and the ability to deke. Foley has been encouraged to work most highly on both his awareness and decision making. Foley is a player that sometimes tries to do too much, and will make too many plays trying to break through the defense, and sometimes doesn’t see the ice to its fullest. Foley also needs to work more on his defensive awareness away from the puck, where he can sometimes get lost defensively. Sometimes his hands can also be a bit too fast, which affects his accuracy at times in close. Despite this, if Foley can get a handle on these aspects of the game, he has a lot of potential moving forward as a solid, goal scoring forward for an OHL club.x
