David Egorov has been the Myers goalie for the past few seasons now. Obviously, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he hasn’t been able to play as much as anyone hoped, however, his practices have shown small glimpses at what he is like. Egorov has a great ability when it comes to stopping shots, and is extremely exceptional on his skates. He can move around the crease very well, which is certainly a skill many teams would value in a goalie. He also has a great personality, which has given him the description of being a dream goalie for any team. For now, all Egorov can do is wait until he can start playing again so that he can show off his skills to everyone else, and potentially draw some attention from an OHL scout who is looking around in his general area. Due to being a goalie, and having missed out on a lot of crucial icetime due to the pandemic, Egorov’s draft stock could most likely fall, but that is not a game changer, as many great goalies have been picked in later rounds and have developed into some pretty good goalies. Only time will tell.
