Most likely a later pick at the draft, Domenic Battaglia still has upside at the OHL level. Currently, Battaglia is slated to be playing on Markhams 3rd or 4th line as a checking forward. Odds are, this is the type of player he will eventually develop into at the OHL level. Battaglia is a good kid, and a very hard worker. He will match up against the league's top talents night after night, serving as a bruiser who can shut them down and make them regret taking to the ice with him. Battaglia is not a known goal scorer, but where he lacks in goal scoring, he makes up for his hard working attitude. While it is not overly clear on what could happen with Battaglia come draft time, he could be a nice add for a team in a mid to later round, where he could become a more grinder/power forward esc player at the OHL level, perhaps something similar to a player like Marcus Foligno. Battaglia is certainly a player that should be floating around on a scouts radar later in the draft, and it couldn’t hurt to take a chance on him.
