An incredibly offensive minded forward with a desire to be a star, Griffin Grundner is always looking for ways to be a better player and has the potential to be an offensive star at the next level. Griffin put up an insane 25 goals and 39 points in a shortened season last year and has an electric, deceptive shot. It’s not hard by any means, however this is expected to change with size, however it’s very accurate and when he combines it with a deke and ability to get to the slot he’s able to pick a spot and put the puck behind the goalie. He creates plays and is incredibly valuable on the powerplay where he has room to dish out excellent passes and use his speed and offensive IQ to create room for himself and his teammates. When breaking out he has no problem leading or joining the rush using his speed and athleticism to be in the right spot. With the puck in transition he’s actively looking for teammates and options to pass the puck and generate high danger scoring opportunities for his team. Griffin is no liability in his defensive zone however he is still working hard at growing this part of his game like many young forwards. As he grows in height and fills out Griffin is only going to get better and has the potential to be a high scoring forward at the next level.
